We just got to go visit the UK. I want to be surrounded by people that call me Mate! It is so much more friendlier then "Guy"...or "Hey you"

My advice... Don't spend all your time in London. Live out in the real towns and hang out at the real pubs with real people for a while.
I doesn't hurt that women love that American accent (in London you won't impress anyone).
BTW. The same principle applies to the English in the US.

If you get a chance go for a drive up north. Spend a little time in Edinburgh then go straight to the Highlands. Forget about Glasgow. Forget about Loch Lomond (tourist trap) and travel the chain of Lochs until you reach Fort Augustus at the tip of Loch Ness.

That's what I did - it was wonderful. When I got to Loch Ness I got out of the rented Fiat and jumped into the water with all my clothes on. (Before the trip someone dared me to do it).

Not to sound territorial, but women from different regions generally have different appeals and personalities. Most, however, don't go for that Masochist!stuff, so just don't try vandalizing their houses or persons.

Oh snap, crackle; pop. The posts have divereged so much from the original, I don't even know if the topic-starter wants to type any more.

Hmm I am having the same ordeal right now. Here was my situation:

I was always the chubby kid that never had any girlfriends at all. Throughout most of my highschool years I never even asked a girl out. My first girl experience happened just before college and that gave me a bit more confidence.

Recently I have began looking at life a bit different. I used to play alot of videogames, way too much in fact. For the past year I had concluded that I just am not into them as much. Not saying videogames are bad, but playing them like I used to is, and I have gotten into much healthier things such as, reading, working in the yard, going to barnes and nobles to read, working out, and just normal everyday things.

I have noticed a big difference in female interactions though and sometimes for me it seems ackward when I get compliments because I was not used to it. I used to be terrified to talk to women and used to wind up just day dreaming. Let me tell ya that sucks.

This girl in my conservation class was also in my wildlife biology class, and I told myself that she was the girl I was going to talk to. I always caught her smiling at me and staring, but I just couldnt get the confidence to go and talk to her. Months pass and we eventually go on a field study, once again there she is along with this one guy, grrrr. We smiled at eachother but that was it. Summer passes and my regrets build up.

After summer classes got out I signed up for conservation classes taught by the same bio teacher. Sure enough THERE SHE IS on the second day, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, period. Silky smooth tan skin, beautiful face, long hair, tight body, anything I could ask for. She seemed to notice my hardwork at the gym but was it going to be enough?

Well the first trip to the botanical gardens sealed it. She came up to me and asked me a silly question, I answered it and began talking with her. I ignored everything I was ever taught about women and just tried to have enough confidence in myself to hold a conversation, boy did that work out. She turned out to be extremely intellegent and sweet! After the whole time of the field trip we wound up talking to eachother the entire time! I did not rush things though.

Monday following the Saturday trip she sat near me and we made conversation again and my asshole friend decided to get her number because I told him she was in our online Physiology studies. I didnt get her number, but I did give her mine after class. Eventually she kept sitting near me and talking, after class we would walk together and I found out she worked in the school library on Tue.

On tuesday I went up there because she needed to borrow my readings handout, or so she said. I took her a blue berry muffin I had baked, and she accepted it because she skipped breakfast and again we wound up talking again. She told me she had recognized me from wild life biology and how cute I was. Man I felt stupid for not talking to her before, but at least now I had a chance to try again. Right now I have been talking to other girls, but not as much as her, she is just such an awesome person. I do not want to rush things, but just trying to get to know her has been so much fun, I just hope she feels the same.

So where does all this rambling lead to? Get some confidence with yourself, know that you are a great person that anyone would like to get to know and treat her with respect. There are many other girls out there too, I have been treated to the lets just be friends speech, but hell I am glad that those happened like that. The girl of your dreams will come in time.

PS
I am going to go tutor her for Calculus this afternoon after I get off of work, I plan on asking her to go hang out later duing the week. I will post here on the outcome, heres hoping everything goes well!

Polloloco3,

Good for you! I was real shy in High School myself. People that know me now have a hard time believing that I was that shy. Scared..is more like it! I finaly learned that the worst thing that a woman can say to me was NO. Once I got that bit of info, meeting and talking to women was not all that hard too do.

Turns out for me is once I met up with women that I knew in High School later on in life they all thought I was a snob. There were many girls then that liked me and wanted to go out with me but, I let fear/self doubt control my life back then.

Now that I am happily married for many years I am such a flirt with women. Not the Cheating on your Wife flirting. The simple fun flirting. My wife has also come out of her shell over the years and she is quite the flirt too. We both know where we lay our heads at night.

You are doing the right thing for you. Take your time, be honest, be yourself.
Trust me, the opposit(Or even the same) sex is just as nervous at meeting new people as you are. Nobody likes rejection of any kind. It hurts. Just plug away and you will find that special one. I have learned that the best friends/lovers/ and my wife, that I have met, I met when I wasn't trying to meet anyone. You just walk around a corner one day and ...bingo...your life changes!

What about Saw? (Most brilliant movie ever.)

I've come to a conclusion about women.

They're guys without their naughty bits.

I agree Dood, I mean being told NO is not a big deal anymore. I think being yourself is the way to go, sometimes it takes longer for people (such in my case) to find that out. Right now I have alot of things goin for me and I am happy to meet new people. I look at women with a different eye now and see them just like normal people. Of course some women are just as bad as men, but there are a few good ones out there.

I think I may have found the right girl, but I would not mind being friends with her. Right now I can TELL the attraction is there, but im in no rush. The feeling I get when I look at her though is unreal and hard to put into words. Well heres to meeting new people eh?!

@ Mistress: Lol Lion King life would make me a sad Lion
Yeah she definately is something else, but lets just see how it goes in an hour

Nonsense. Women and men are all humans, both can be gay, both can be attractive (to certain people) both can be assholes, both can be smart, both can go on shopping sprees, both want money, everyone wants everything they could ever want.

without taking the time to read through the entire 4 pages, im going to make this post. so i may say a few things already mentioned on pages 2-4.

if you really have no experience talking to girls, once you get a few basic things down like introduction an such, you could always go the note passing way. its much easier to write something to a person then to say it to their face.

next, if all is going well, ask her if she wants to hang out with you and some of your friends(best if you have some friends who are girls or have girlfriends they can bring, and probably about 5 people on the first time.)

assuming that worked out, invite her to hang out again, possibly with a smaller group(like 2-3 other people), maybe invite some of her friends(her friends liking you is a major thing). talk to her in school, possibly with less notes and more face to face conversation. by then end of this you should have long since broken the touch barrier.

by the 3rd weekend, it should hopefully be down to just you and her. after this being out together should become more frequent.

remember to treat her like an equal, listen and remember what she says, and BE WILLING TO TRY KNEW THINGS. and this probably goes without saying, but dont straight out put down something she likes by saying you hate it, or think its a waste of time.

First off you need to change your profession from R/Me to R/Mo.

Max your beast mastery to lvl 16.

When she starts to attack use "Throw Dirt", then "Charm Animal".

If this doesn't work, then brag about your second profession and say that your a healer.

If this doesn't work, then invite her to be a member of your guild (you pay the 100gp of course), and tell her you have a cool cape, website, and guild hall.

If all else fails then apply mending, storm chaser, and run like hell.

note* Its easier to tame her at level 5. She will be a raging wilderbeast at level 20 and almost impossible to tame.

on a more serious note what is the worst that can happen you get shot down (you will live thru it) be honest and be yourself if she likes you and you don't make a move you lose everything if she doesn't like you you lose nothing (and gain some experiance)
win win if you ask me

If you get lucky enough to land her bed, then I recommend Distracting Shot + Quick Shot.

Ok, Ok, Seriously, What do you have to lose? The worst she will do is say "NO".

It's like the lottery, you can't win if you dont play. Except your odds of winning are vastly improved! Go for it!

Not everyone can handle the word NO, there are people who's emotions are so raw that even a simple NO could drive them towards the edge if not over it. Or maybe they take everything to personally because of how they grew up, I don't even know why I'm trying again myself, all I'm doing is getting closer to an early grave(which might not be such a bad thing afterall)

The fastest way to get rid of me is to say no or turn a cold shoulder(**hint, hint - Mistress).
